#fbm24: MVB at Frankfurter Buchmesse

After four eventful days, we are back in Frankfurt. The Leipzig Book Fair was once again an incredible experience this year with exciting events, great book people and lots of inspiring input.

A big thank you to everyone who visited us at our stand in Hall 5 and took part in our events.

Ha det bra #lbm25 - we're already looking forward to #lbm26!

Our Highlights

Our new “Meet & Dance” event format, where bloggers presented their current book highlights in a speed-dating style, was a big hit. The well-attended events provided plenty of up-to-date book tips - and many a wish list grew longer and longer. Afterwards, our stand was transformed into a silent disco, where trade fair visitors put new dance moves on the dance floor to the bloggers' playlist. Impressions can be found here.

There was just as much going on at our Livro joint exhibition, where there were over 240 new products from the world of small and self-publishers to discover. Anyone looking for fresh reading inspiration was guaranteed to find what they were looking for here.

The presentation of the Alfred-Kerr-Prize for Literary Criticism 2025, awarded by our trade magazine Börsenblatt and the Stiftung Buchkultur und Leseförderung des Börsenvereins des Deutschen Buchhandels to the critic and author Beate Tröger for her outstanding reviews, was duly celebrated.

On Friday, the Book and Media Career Day gave young talents valuable insights into the book industry. The event was a great opportunity to find out more about starting a career and job prospects in publishing houses, the intermediate book trade and bookshops - and the networking opportunities on offer were very popular.
