Pay us a visit from 27. to 30.03.2025

Norway promises a "Traum im Frühling" ("Dream in Spring") as the guest of honour at this year's Leipziger Buchmesse. Now that's a great motto! We are already looking forward to seeing what our Scandinavian colleagues have prepared ...
And of course we're excited to meet many familiar and new faces at our stand in Hall 5, H 600, where we will welcome you together with our colleagues from Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels, Frankfurter Buchmesse and Mediacampus Frankfurt.
Norway's Slogan is based on the idea of new beginnings, which is associated with spring. Fittingly, the team at the Leipziger Buchmesse has many new things to offer, one of which being a new hall concept. As a result, our Livro joint exhibition will be presented for the first time in our immediate neighbourhood at the new location in Hall 5, H 500. On site and in the Livro catalogue on display, you will find new publications from the extensive range of small and self-publishers for your product range, your programme planning or for your personal reading supplies.
Come by our stands and let us insspire you!
You can find all the information about our fair appearance at #lbm25 on this page.

With Passion for Standards

Names are not smoke and mirrors, but they are not unique either. This is why confusion arises time and again. Identifiers such as the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) or its counterpart from the scientific field, the Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID), can help. These personal identifiers clearly link works to their creators.
This offers many advantages: visibility, efficient processes, for example for royalty payments from the Verwertungsgesellschaft (VG) WORT, and additional marketing opportunities that create new buying impulses. This could be an alert function that automatically informs you about your favourite author's new book. Or a central page that always contains the latest information on this person.
The prerequisite for this is the widespread distribution of ISNI/ORCID. In order to accelerate this development, the specification of the two identifiers for authors has been a status-relevant entry in the Verzeichnis Lieferbarer Bücher (VLB) since this year. You can find out more about the meaning and maintenance of this personal metadata on the VLB team's help page.
With Passion for Careers

Attention young professionals! If you would like to find out about career entries and job prospects in publishing houses, the intermediate book trade and bookshops, we recommend the Book and Media Career Day on the Friday of the fair. There will be plenty of information for trainees, students and young professionals - networking included.
In addition to compact presentations and discussions, the programme also includes speed geekings for personal exchanges with various industry professionals. There will also be an on-site job board with current vacancies.
The Career Day is organised by our trade magazine Börsenblatt and our careers portal medien.jobs with the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels and in cooperation with the Leipziger Buchmesse.
By the way: If you want to stay up to date 24/7, you can always find the latest job offers on medien.jobs as well as our career guide with information on applications, job profiles, etc. At our stand. We will be happy to advise companies individually on recruiting opportunities on our platform.
With Passion for Eye Catchers

Moving images move people because they attract attention. This also applies to bookshops. Our Bewegte Schaufenster (Moving Shop Windows) service utilises this effect. The rental screens with rolling advertising offer publishers and bookshops new opportunities to showcase books prominently.
Our eye-catchers simply attract more attention at the point of sale (PoS). This not only reaches regular customers, but also attracts new book buyers to the shop.
We will happily demonstrate how it works on our sample screen on site.
With Passion for Norway

This year, we are once again celebrating the guest country at the Leipziger Buchmesse with our latest postcard from our popular ‘BOOKS. BOOKS? BOOKS!’ collection. Get your copy(s) of ‘BØKER. BØKER? BØKER!’ at our stand.
But that's not all: in Norwegian there are great terms for a bookish attitude to life for which there are no German equivalents. A dream come true for all book fans. For our favourite words Døgn, Kos, Kjærlighetssorg and Lesehest, we have created a special postcard set in the host country look with pronunciation rules and explanations. This makes it easy to expand your vocabulary.
So it's twice as worthwhile to drop by.
