The Philippines are still in the air, while the exhibition halls are already deserted again. #fbm25 flew by in a flash. We are taking home not only a wealth of imagination, which this year's guest of honor at the Frankfurter Buchmesse gave us, but above all a great deal of reality:

Real people, real encounters, and real enthusiasm.

Many thanks to everyone who made these five wonderful days in October so special: our guests, the team of Frankfurter Buchmesse, our booth construction crew, and of course all our colleagues at MVB who keep standing up for our common cause before, during, and after the fair.

Sa uulitin!

See you at #fbm26.

Our Highlights

This year, we once again had a varied program:

  • In our specialist format MVB-Austausch, we discussed current topics of our industry, from customer loyalty and sustainability to job application processes. This open dialogue format is a real surprise package, because the motto is “Everything is possible, nothing is mandatory.” – from clarifying fundamental questions to individual advice, depending on the spontaneous constellation.
  • In addition, this year we also offered MVB-Sprechstunde for first aid on Reading Rationales, our book voucher Büchergutschein, ISNI, and VLB/VLB-TIX directly from our experts.
  • There was also a lot going on at our Livro joined exhibition, which presented new works from small and self-publishers in the packed Hall 3.0. A highlight here was the discussion with author and publisher Annika Ruske and book blogger Thomas Becker, who talked about “Publishing & Positioning” in self-publishing.
  • We celebrated the Börsenblatt Young Excellence Award in style. At the Haus des Buches, the #yeaward25 was presented to Tobias Groß for his commitment to the book industry. Congratulations again!
