#lbm26: This was our Leipziger Buchmesse
The Leipziger Buchmesse has once again given us spring fever. We have had four wonderful days filled with a passion for books. It is always great to feel so much enthusiasm for the heart of our industry.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at our booth in Hall 5 and at our events!
Here is our "best of” from MVB @ lbm26. Curtain up…
Our Highlights
In keeping with this year’s theme, "The Danube", and the accompanying podcast, we placed messages in bottles around the fairgrounds. Finding suitable spots for them was harder than we expected. We were all the more delighted when the first lucky finder picked up her prize—a ten-euro Büchergutschein—at our booth early Thursday morning. Giving the joy of reading as a gift is simply a great idea.
We were also very pleased by the great interest in our events—from the magic of metadata to the presentation of the Alfred Kerr Prize for Literary Criticism to Dietmar Dath, to the last-minute speed meeting with the alumni network of the Börsenblatt Young Excellence Award, and of course the extensive program of the Book and Media Career Day.
Not to mention the many conversations and encounters, both planned and spontaneous. Connecting with other book lovers is always the best part.
