The German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature, together with the trade magazine Börsenblatt and the Frankfurter Buchmesse, awards the “Serafina” prize for young illustrators. The prize, donated by the Augsburger Mediengruppe Pressedruck, is endowed with 2,500 euros. The giraffe figurine from Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg is financed by Sankt Michaelsbund (exhibition stand: Hall 3.1 A61) and other sponsors. Since this year, the Picture Book Museum Burg Wissem in Troisdorf and the Brothers Grimm City of Hanau have also been among the supporters of the Young Talent Award for Illustration.
