The Board of Trustees of the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels (German Publishers and Booksellers Association) has selected historian and essayist Karl Schlögel as the winner of the 2025 Peace Prize. Katja Petrowskaja will deliver the laudatory speech. The award ceremony will take place on Sunday during the Frankfurter Buchmesse at Frankfurt's Paulskirche and will be broadcast live on ZDF starting at 11 a.m.
